Rotary Breakfast Benefits Daily Bread Pantry
TRAPPE PA – Chow down on some pancakes. Help others who may have far less for breakfast.
That’s the premise behind this year’s annual pancake breakfast, hosted by the Collegeville Rotary Club. The meal will be offered March 15 (2020; Sunday) from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Imperial’s Catering, 40 E. First Ave., with proceeds to benefit the Daily Bread Community Food Pantry. Tickets are available now from Rotary Club members, and also will be sold at the door.
Daily Bread (above), at 3938 Ridge Pike, Collegeville, is the fourth-largest food pantry in Montgomery County. It provides perishable and non-perishable foods, personal care items, and supplies for babies and pets to more than 1,200 individuals monthly across an area that stretches from Perkiomenville and Gilbertsville south to Collegeville and Eagleville PA.
Rotarians are serving up a plate-filler of pancakes, eggs, sausage, and other foods, accompanied by a bake sale, raffle, face-painting, and added activities. Tickets cost $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 4-8, and those age 4 and younger are admitted free.
