Environmental Council Considers Collaboration
LOWER FREDERICK PA – Two seemingly complimentary groups, whose members are appointed by the Lower Frederick Board of Supervisors, are looking for ways to work together on promoting events and topics of mutual interest.
During its Monday (tonight; Feb. 24, 2020) meeting, the township Environmental Advisory Council will in part discuss collaborating with the Parks and Recreation Board on events like the 50th anniversary of Earth Day, scheduled for April 22. The pair share other overlapping interests too, also to be explored for partnership opportunities.
The discussion is on the agenda for the council’s meeting at 7 p.m. in the township municipal building, 53 Spring Mount Rd. The meeting is free to attend and open to the public. A copy of its agenda is available here.
Also Monday, according to its agenda, the council is scheduled to:
- Evaluate its January public presentation on stormwater management issues, and plan for its next such outreach effort; and
- Further consider proposing a township sump pump ordinance that is modeled in part on existing laws in nearby New Hanover;
