Police Investigating Tuesday Fall Incident
POTTSTOWN PA – A male individual who has been identified by the Pottstown Police Department as a Berks County resident died apparently as a result of injuries incurred during a fall that occurred Tuesday (March 10, 2020) at about 3 p.m. near the corner of South Madison and Cross streets, the department reported.
“It appears at this time that a passing truck may have impacted an overhead cable wire, subsequently knocking the victim and his ladder to the ground,” it reported.\
The victim, a Comcast worker named Junior Rosa, was taken by Goodwill Ambulance to Pottstown Hospital but “did not survive his injuries,” according to its media release.
The investigation is ongoing and “there are no criminal charges at this time,” the department said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the department at 610-970-6570.
