Route 29 Resurfacing Set for March 29-April 4
Update as of March 17 (2020): PennDOT has announced its Route 29 paving work (described below) has been postponed “until further notice” as a result of the state’s coronavirus outbreak containment guidance. An announcement will be made when the work is rescheduled.
LOWER FREDERICK PA – Drivers will encounter overnight (7 p.m. to 5 a.m.) lane restrictions between March 29 (2020; Sunday) and April 4 (Saturday) on Route 29, from Zieglerville Road in Lower Frederick to Second Street in Upper Hanover as Pennsylvania Department of Transportation contractors conduct resurfacing operations there, the agency said.
Portions of the highway are due to be milled and re-paved with new asphalt, which will seal the surface and give drivers and passengers alike a smoother ride.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area. Slowdowns will occur, PennDOT warned. All scheduled activities depend on weather conditions.
