Get A Gardening Jump with Native Plant Sale
SCHWENKSVILLE PA – More than 130 different native plant species – including flowering perennials, ferns, vines, and grasses in four-inch pots – will be available for sale from May 1-31 (2020) during the annual Perkiomen Native Plant Sale conducted by the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy, 1 W. Skippack Pike. See the sale’s full-color guide booklet, here.
The sale is going virtual, like so many other local activities lately, so orders can be placed online beginning May 1 (Friday) at a webpage soon to be identified, and be picked up at the conservancy as early as May 9 (Saturday). Prices start at $4 per plant.
Besides what the conservancy describes as “a large selection of native plants to beautify your yard and protect your local environment,” the sale also features Pennsylvania native trees and shrubs from Behmerwald Nursery, expert advice from conservancy staff members, a May 9 “Paint at the Plant Sale Workshop” with Blush & Brushes, a May 9 rain barrel workshop from 1-2 p.m., and a free tree identification walk.
For more information, call the conservancy at 610-287-9383.
