Farmington Ave. Auto Accident Occurred Tuesday
UPPER POTTSGROVE PA – Traffic in the 1400 block of Farmington Avenue, at North State Road and near the Upper Pottsgrove Township municipal building and fire house, was restricted and detoured Tuesday (April 21, 2020) at about 2:40 p.m. due to a motor vehicle accident. There were no immediately available reports of how the accident occurred or how many people, if any, were injured.
One car involved, a black Pontiac, came to rest in the northbound lane of Farmington with obvious damage to its right rear side and left front wheel well, and with wet grass and mud clinging to the underside of its front bumper. The roadway was wet at the time. Tracks leading from the road shoulder and across an open lawn on the road’s east side indicate the car may have traveled a distance up a grassy hill.
First responders included Upper Pottsgrove police, Upper Pottsgrove, Goodwill, and West End fire companies, and Goodwill Ambulance. Berks-Mont Towing and Recovery began removing the vehicle from the scene at about 3:20 p.m.
