MooveIn Storage Given Year Exception for Units
SANATOGA PA – A variety of contractors’ employees were busy working (above and below) Wednesday (May 20, 2020), and for much of the previous two weeks, in and outside the former auto showroom and garages at 2148 E. High St. as they transform it into the newest facility to house units for the MooveIn Self-Storage franchise.

The building was the subject of a Lower Pottsgrove Zoning Hearing Board virtual meeting Tuesday night (May 19), during which its owners – Moove In Partners-Pottstown LLC – successfully sought to extend by a year a special exception for the property’s use that was granted in March 2019. Board members approved the extension until May 19, 2021, according to substitute Solicitor R. Kurtz Holloway.
There were no objections to the application, Holloway said; in fact, he added, no member of the public logged into the meeting held on the Zoom conferencing platform.
The township Board of Commissioners got a glimpse during November 2018 of an architect’s rendering (below) that showed how owners planned to develop the property and present their units with a retail-like appearance. The showroom would likely contain environmentally controlled storage, they said at the time.
A legal advertisement (below) that announced the zoning hearing would be held virtually was published May 7 (Thursday).

Public participation at these meetings shall be limited to remote access, via computer, tablet, smartphone, or phone. This will allow any member of the public to indicate they would like to speak and offer comment during the public comment portion of the hearing. Members of the public who wish to participate or listen to the hearing may call-in or log-in. Directions for connection to and participation in the hearing will be published on the Township’s publicly accessible website; www.lowerpottsgrove.org. The hearing will be streamed through Zoom.
