PECO Plans Work in Pottstown, Lower Salford

KING OF PRUSSIA PA – PECO Energy is planning separate and unrelated weekday lane closures in the borough of Pottstown and Lower Salford Township next week for utility improvements, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s District 6 office in King of Prussia announced.

The company’s schedule includes aerial line work:

  • Tuesday through Friday (May 26-29) from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day on Route 63 at Quarry Road in Lower Salford; and
  • Thursday and Friday (May 28-29) from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days on Route 663 between Shoemaker Road and Manatawny Street in Pottstown.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. PennDOT predicted backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.

PECO is completing these projects under PennDOT highway occupancy permits, the agency added.
