County Offers Drive-or-Walk-Up Ballot Drops

POTTSTOWN PA – Locations in Pottstown and Green Lane are two of five Montgomery County sites where secure ballot drop-off boxes have been installed to help voters meet the voting deadline for this year’s June 2 primary election, county officials announced. Completed mail-in or absentee ballots must be placed in the drop-off boxes by Election Day at 8 p.m.

The Pottstown site has been designated as the Montgomery County Community College borough campus, at South Hall, 101 College Dr. A drive up-and-drop-off box will available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Exceptions are on Memorial Day (May 25), when hours will be from 9 a.m. to noon.; and on Election Day, with hours from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Green Lane site has been designated as Green Lane Park, 2144 Snyder Rd., Green Lane. A drive up-and-drop-off box will be available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Exceptions again are on Memorial Day (May 25), when hours will be from 9 a.m. to noon.; and on Election Day, with hours from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The three remaining sites are at One Montgomery Plaza, 425 Swede St., Norristown, with a walk-up-and-drop-off box in its lobby; and with drive-up-an-drop-off boxes, at the county’s Eastern Courthouse Annex, 102 N. York Rd., Willow Grove; and the county Community Connections Office, 421 W. Main St., Lansdale.

Before you drop your mail-in ballot into the drop-off box, county officials added, make sure you place your voted ballot inside the official return envelope, securely seal the official return envelope, and sign and date the back of the official return envelope.
