Pottsgrove Continues Grab-N-Go Meals Tuesday
LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – This week’s distributions of meals by the Pottsgrove School District to its students age 18 and younger continues a day later than usual, Tuesday (May 26, 2020) rather than Monday because of the just-ended Memorial Day holiday. Its hours and locations, however, remain unchanged.
Pick-ups are being offered from 10 a.m. to noon at both Lower Pottsgrove and West Pottsgrove Elementary Schools. At Lower, its drive-through is located along the lower portico adjacent to Buchert Road. At West, it’s along the driveway near the main office of the school. Pre-bagged breakfasts and lunches, snacks, and beverages and juices are available in 5-day quantities for each child in a family.
Both locations are open to all Pottsgrove families, regardless of their township of residence.
Drivers of all vehicles that proceed through the distribution lines are asked to ensure their trunks or other rear compartments are unlatched or open and ready to receive the bags (above). Food handlers will place all provisions into each trunk. For safety reasons, they will not be placed into cars on their seats.
Those unable to open a trunk will be asked to move forward to a separate self-serve area to pick up meals. Its guidelines will be strictly enforced, the district said.
