PennDOT to Repair, Resurface Game Farm Road
LIMERICK PA – Lane restrictions are scheduled Wednesday through Friday (June 3-5, 2020) daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Game Farm Road, between Neiffer and Pheasant roads in Limerick Township, for high friction surface treatment operations, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.
Additional restrictions are planned Monday through Saturday (June 1-6) daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Route 29 between Zeiglerville Road in Lower Frederick Township and Third Street in Green Lane Borough for milling and paving operations, PennDOT reported.
At each location PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the highways with new asphalt to provide a smoother ride. They are part of a group of projects involving more than 200 miles of resurfacing operations on state highways in Montgomery, Chester, Delaware, Bucks, and Philadelphia counties.
The agency suggested drivers allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. Slowdowns will occur, it said. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.
The work will comply with federal Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance. Both will be covered by project-specific COVID-19 safety plans that include protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, jobsite entry management, special signage, and relevant training.
