None Injured in Tuesday Morning Sanatoga Crash
SANATOGA PA – A woman who was driving a car Tuesday (June 2, 2020) at about 7:15 a.m. east in the 2300 block of East High Street lost control of the vehicle, swerved into the westbound lane, crossed its curb and crashed into a utility pole (at top and above), severing it and downing several wires, Lower Pottsgrove Police Department officers at the scene reported. No one was injured, they added.
Details about the driver were not immediately available.
The single-vehicle crash affected East High Street traffic (above) during early morning travel hours when commuters were on their way to work. A portion of Hause Avenue to its intersection with East High was immediately closed. The department, in an alert posted and broadcast by e-mail at 7:40 a.m., added “the westbound (East High) lanes will be restricted for several hours between Brown Street and Hause Avenue. Use caution in the area, as fire police maintain traffic control,” it said.
By 7:30 a.m. a tow-truck operator had already arrived on scene, and fire police from both the Ringing Hill and Sanatoga fire companies were directing vehicular movement on East High.
A police officer said a utility company repair crew had been called to the scene (above), as well as apparatus from the fire companies and a Goodwill Ambulance.
