Sanatoga Greene Deals With Regulatory Issues

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Developers of the Sanatoga Greene housing and commercial project on the west side of Evergreen Road had hoped to break ground there by spring. Now summer has begun, and Lower Pottsgrove engineering representative Chad Camburn on Thursday (June 4, 2020) told the township Board of Commissioners the approved proposal is still dealing with state regulatory issues.

Plans for Sanatoga Greene site work and storm water management were submitted to Camburn’s employer, township engineer Bursich Associates Inc., on Monday (June 1) he said, and “are moving forward.” The problem developers still face, he added, affects plans for the project’s sanitary sewer system and agreements for sewage treatment.

The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has asked for specific items in those documents before sewer work can proceed. Camburn said he believes the delay might be resolved during discussions at next week’s meeting of the Lower Pottsgrove Sewer Authority. It’s scheduled for Monday (June 8) at 6:30 p.m.
