Need Help with Mortgage or Rent? Get the Form June 29
HARRISBURG PA – Applications for financial assistance being offered by Pennsylvania, to renters and home owners who need help in paying rent or mortgages in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, will be available June 29 (2020; Monday) from the website of the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency, 146th state Rep. Joe Ciresi reported.
A document explaining the program, made possible by the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act passed during March, is available online here. “Anyone who has lost income due to the pandemic-related economic slowdown may be eligible,” Ciresi said in a newsletter Friday (June 19). Although applications are being released June 29, the first day for submissions is scheduled for July 6.
Both the mortgage and rent assistance efforts are being administered by the agency.
