Pottstown Woman Sought in Lower Pottsgrove on Arrest Warrant

POTTSTOWN PA – A 26-year-old Pottstown woman is the subject of an arrest warrant obtained Thursday (June 25, 2020) by the Lower Pottsgrove Police Department, after she failed to appear for a preliminary hearing in the courtroom of Magisterial District Justice Edward C. Kropp Sr. on driving under the influence and related charges.

Being sought by police is Shirrell Danae Gordon. Court records show she had been arrested in January (2020) by township Ofc. James McCue on charges of driving while impaired, careless driving, and driving with a suspended license, and then failed to attend a hearing scheduled for Tuesday (June 24).

During the January incident, according to the department’s CrimeWatch website, police received a call from a witness filing a complaint about an allegedly reckless driver who was operating a vehicle that “crossed into oncoming traffic several times.” The witness reportedly followed the offending vehicle to a location at Hilltop Mobile Estates, 300 E. High St.

Police arrived at the residence to find “the vehicle was parked and still running” outside the home, “with the driver now passed out behind the wheel.” The driver, later identified as Gordon, “failed field sobriety tests and was deemed unsafe to operate a motor vehicle,” the web report added. “Gordon then failed to show for a hearing in the matter,” it stated.

Anyone who knows Gordon’s whereabouts is asked to call Lower Pottsgrove police at 610-326-1508, or to submit a tip anonymously using CrimeWatch, here.
