422 Lane Closures Next Week for Patching, Painting, Repair

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – U.S. Route 422 drivers will encounter lane closures in both directions next week across Lower Pottsgrove, Limerick, and Upper Providence townships for various construction activities, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.

The work schedule includes:

  • A right-lane closure on westbound 422 from Sunday through Wednesday (June 28-July 1, 2020) from 7 p.m. to 2 p.m. the following afternoon between Township Line Road and Evergreen Road in Limerick Township for roadway patching;
  • Alternating left- and right-lane closures on westbound U.S. 422 on Monday (June 29) from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. between Evergreen Road and Armand Hammer Boulevard in Lower Pottsgrove Township for line painting; and
  • Alternating left- and right-lane closures on eastbound U.S. 422 Monday through Wednesday (June 29-July 1) from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. the following night between Route 29 and Egypt Road in Upper Providence Township for bridge joint repair.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling in the work area because backups and delays are likely. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.

All work will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance, and a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan. It includes protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, special signage, and relevant training.
