County Expanding Virus Testing to Six Sites, including Pottstown and Green Lane

NORRISTOWN PA – Montgomery County intends to offer six different locations, beginning Monday (July 6, 2020) as walk-up testing sites for anyone who needs or wants to be tested for coronavirus infection. The site list includes testing already being conducted in Pottstown and Norristown, and adds locations in Green Lane, Lansdale, Ardmore, and Willow Grove.

County officials announced the sites Wednesday (July 1). Individuals who want or need to be tested may register online, here, by by choosing the “County Testing Information” button at the top of the webpage, and then selecting “Register for a Test.” Phone registration also is available by calling 610-970-2937 starting at 8:30 a.m. on the morning of the intended appointment until all slots are filled. Spanish-speaking operators are available.

The sites, with operating days and times, are in:

  • Pottstown at the Montgomery County Office of Public Health, 364 King St. Testing is available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from noon to 2 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.;
  • Green Lane at the intersection of Deep Creek and Snyder roads. Testing is available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 2 p.m.;
  • Norristown at the Norristown Regional Health Center, 1401 Dekalb St. This site will open Tuesday (July 7) with operating hours to be announced in the coming days;
  • Lansdale at 421 Main St. Testing is available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 2 p.m.;
  • Ardmore, at 114 W. Lancaster Ave. Testing is available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from noon to 2 p.m.; and
  • Willow Grove at the county Office of Public Health, 102 York Rd. (although this site will be moving in the future, officials said). Testing is available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from noon to 2 p.m., and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
