Westbound 422 Right Lanes Close Next Week in Limerick

LIMERICK PA – Westbound U.S. Route 422 drivers will encounter single-lane closures next week across portions of Limerick Townships for roadway patching activities, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced.

The work schedule includes:

  • A right-lane closure Monday through Friday (July 6-10, 2020) from 7 p.m. to 2 p.m. the following afternoon, between Lewis Road and Evergreen Road; and
  • A right-lane closure Friday and Saturday (July 10-11) from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. the following night, again between Lewis Road and Evergreen Road.

Additionally, Lewis Road between Linfield Road and Linfield-Trappe Road in Limerick will be reduced to a single lane in each direction Tuesday (July 7) from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. for barrier removal and guide rail installation.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling in the work area because backups and delays are likely. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.

All work will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance, and a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan. It includes protocols for social distancing, use of face coverings, personal and job-site cleaning protocols, management of entries to the jobsite, special signage, and relevant training.
