Contractors Busy This Week on Township Line Road

ROYERSFORD PA – Portions of a lengthy stretch of Township Line Road, between Limerick Road in the borough of Schwenksville and Walnut Street in the borough of Royersford, will be the sites of roadwork projects beginning Sunday (July 12, 2020) and continuing through Friday (July 17), the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation reported.

Work on utility adjustments along Township Line Road will occur Sunday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Then, milling and re-paving operations will be conducted overnights Sunday through Friday, July 17, from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Lane restrictions may occur in any of several locations during these periods, PennDOT indicated.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. Slowdowns will occur, the agency noted. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.

Eleven other state highways across several counties will be similarly affected next week, it added. In each, PennDOT is milling the existing roadway surface and repaving the state highways to seal them and provide a smoother riding surface.

Work on these projects will comply with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance, as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan.
