Birdsboro Car Show Another Pandemic Victim

BIRDSBORO PA – The coronavirus pandemic has claimed another victim: this time, a primary fund-raising event for the Woman’s Club of Birdsboro. The 2020 edition of its annual car show, a huge event that annually attracts automobile hobbyists locally and from neighboring states, has been canceled, club President Teresa Levandoski announced.

As with many popular public activities familiar to local residents, organizers were concerned the car show (at top and below) – planned for September – would be unable to ensure social distancing necessary for protection against COVID-19.

Show proceeds provide the money used for the club’s many community donations and scholarships. Its members are planning a substitute event in coming months in the hope of continuing those contributions, Levandoski explained. Other special projects “will be set aside” so funds intended for them can help launch a returned car show in 2021, she added.
