MontCo CareerLink Moving in August to Renovated Location
NORRISTOWN PA – Job-seekers in Montgomery County, who hope to rely on its Pennsylvania CareerLink office in dealing with new employment challenges stemming from the coronavirus pandemic, can now plan to find its services in a new location: the newly renovated county Human Services Center (at top), 1430 DeKalb St. The new office is scheduled to open Aug. 17 (2020; Monday) to the public by appointment only.
The move will enable users to access a variety of health and human services available in the center, including Community Connections, Senior Services, the Office of Public Health, Veterans Affairs, the Office of Behavioral Health/Developmental Disabilities and Early Intervention, and the Office of Children and Youth.
Having additional services in the same building will help them connect to resources faster, the county said in a media release. Virus safety guidelines, such as masking and social distancing, will be followed; do not enter the building unless wearing a mask or face covering.
Until its relocation date, CareerLink will continue to operate from 1855 New Hope St. Call 610-270-3429 and follow menu prompts to receive a return call based upon your needs. Free online workshops continue to be available here. A calendar of online workshops can be found here.
