Ashwood Fire Relief Moves To Liberty in Sanatoga
SANATOGA PA – The relief center for victims of the Ashwood Apartments fire July 31 (2020) in North Coventry was moved Saturday (Aug. 8) from the North Coventry Fire Department building to the Liberty Ministries’ Thrift store at 2200 E, High St. to better accommodate families in need on a daily basis, the religious non-profit organization reported.
Liberty said it was partnering with Branch Life Church in Spring City PA to provide spiritual and other support to those affected by the fire. A group of volunteers led by Branch Life Lead Pastor Josh Park loaded Liberty’s trucks Saturday with the supplies and donations originally brought to the firehouse, and moved them to the community room at Liberty’s Sanatoga facility.
As reported in The Post and elsewhere, donations of all kinds for victims overwhelmed the firehouse and the ability to administer assistance. “The donation of goods (was) so generous that the relief center could accept or hold any more physical donations of any kind, according to a Liberty media release. “If anyone wishes to contribute,” it added, they should visit a Support for Ashwood Apartments Facebook page for details.
The community room is located at the back of the store, directly across the main entrance. Its hours of operation will be posted on the Facebook page.
