Community Health & Dental Opening This Month in Barto

BARTO PA – Contractors were busily working Tuesday (Sept. 1, 2020) to finish renovations on what will later this month become the new Barto offices of Community Health & Dental Care, at 1315 Route 100 North. The Pottstown-based healthcare provider was founded in 2008, and as a federally funded qualified health center offers services to all area residents regardless of their ability to pay.

Upgrades to the more than 3,800-square-foot building (at top and below) being leased by Community Health are made possible in part by a 2020 Pennsylvania Department of Health grant, according to a media release. They include “state-of-the-art equipment to provide quality medical and integrated behavioral health services” it said, as well as “two dental chairs, and a medication dispensary.”

The Barto site is Community Health’s fourth in the greater Pottstown area. It also features a variety of other medical and dental services, depending on location, at:

  • 351 W Schuylkill Rd., Pottstown, in the Coventry Mall, providing medical, dental, vision, podiatry, integrated behavioral health, and physical therapy;
  • 700 Heritage Dr., Sanatoga, providing obstetrics and gynecology, medication assistance therapy, integrated behavioral health, and medical services; and
  • 802 Heritage Dr., Sanatoga, providing dental only.

Free transportation is available to and from all four offices.

Community Health said it accepts most major commercial, Medicare, and Medicare supplement plans, and fee- for-service Medicaid and Managed Care Medicaid plans. It also offers health care discounts for eligible uninsured and under-insured patients. For qualified patients receiving a full health care discount, the nominal fee for a medical, behavioral health, or vision visit is $20; $35 for a dental visit, and $5 for a prescription.

It is currently accepting patients; call 610-326-9460 for information, or send an e-mail to info@ch-dc.org.
