SANATOGA PA – An executive session discussion of real estate matters was conducted Tuesday night (Sept. 9, 2020) by members of the Lower Pottsgrove Board of Commissioners, its solicitor reported, as the board’s first meeting of the month got under way in Sunnybrook Ballroom, 50 Sunnybrook Rd. The executive session began at 6:30 p.m., and ended before the 7 p.m. meeting, he added.
Under Title 65 of Pennsylvania Statutes, an executive session called for real estate is generally “to consider the purchase or lease of real property up to the time an option to purchase or lease the real property is obtained, or up to the time an agreement to purchase or lease such property is obtained if the agreement is obtained directly without an option.”
Neither Solicitor Matthew Hovey or board President Bruce Foltz, who called upon Hovey to make the announcement, offered any further explanation.
The meeting was held at Sunnybrook to ensure sufficient space, currently lacking inside the Buchert Road municipal building, for board members and their audience to maintain social distancing required during the coronavirus pandemic. Honey attended the meeting remotely.
