Friday Facebook Event Showcases Boyertown Talent

Writer Marilyn Klimcho will be among those participating in Friday’s Facebook event

BOYERTOWN PA – A panel of area poets and writers will share excerpts from recent works, and also offer insights into the writing process, during free live and online conference events scheduled in part for broadcast Friday (Sept. 18, 2020) from 6-7 p.m. at the Facebook page of the Studio B Fine Art Gallery, 39A E. Philadelphia Ave.

The live Facebook broadcast represents Studio B’s third “Friday Night LIVE at the B” program. It features several authors who have participated in the studio’s annual exhibit that incorporates visual and literary art. Participants include writers Philip Repko, educator; Marilyn Klimcho, Berks Bards volunteer; Sandra Williams, writer and educator; JD Stahl, educator and life coach; and Carol Croll, writer.

Scheduled to participate in an accompanying Zoom conference are Nelvin Vos, emeritus professor of English at Muhlenberg College; Hiram Larew, writer and global food security specialist; attorney Jessica Bergeman; Ted Hallman, artist and teacher; and Michael Barnett, spiritual advisor and writer.

Stahl said the event will be accompanied by the introduction of Studio B’s seventh book of poetry and prose, titled “Superheroes; What the World Needs Now.”

It and earlier books have been designed and assembled by the studio’s gallery director, Susan Biebuyck. Previously published titles include include “Agony and Ecstasy: Reflections Inspired by Our Lives,” “Layers of Language: Idioms and Favorite Expressions,” “To Be: Know Thyself, You Do You,” “Muse: The Inspirations of Our Lives,” “Let’s Rant: Challenges, Tempests, and Petty Annoyances,” and Wabi-sabi: Celebrating Simple Beauty.”
