Upper Providence Vehicle Fire Extinguished Saturday

UPPER PROVIDENCE TOWNSHIP PA – Members of the Black Rock Volunteer Fire Company were joined Saturday night at about 6:30 by other firefighters from Collegeville, Perkiomen, and Limerick to a vehicle fire “in a deeply wooded area” off Troutman Road, the company reported on its website.

Field units from Perkiomen and Limerick were requested “to help reach the vehicle and extinguish the fire,” it explained. A cause of the fire, if known, was not reported.

Photos accompanying the company’s article seem to show piles of surrounding wood and brush also caught fire. They also depict how firefighters worked with tools to reach every portion of the vehicle to ensure the blaze was out.
