Woodgate Residents Take Note of Election Vandalism

VANSALISM ON RUPERT ROAD – Two sets of election signs promoting local and area candidates for public office, displayed on both sides of Rupert Road at the corner of Shire Drive in Lower Pottsgrove’s Woodgate community, were vandalized during recent days with black spray paint. The act troubled some Woodgate residents, who e-mailed The Post. “It is a black mark on our society. I support the right to choose and express one’s own views. Diversion of views is the basis of making this country so great,” one wrote. “We seem to have this happen every year,” a second noted, and characterized the vandal as “some lowlife culprit.” By the way, that author added, it’s against Pennsylvania state law “for any person to knowingly remove, alter, deface or cover any political sign of any candidate for public office.”
