Quarry Road Portion in Lower Salford Closing for Bridge Repair

LOWER SALFORD PA – Quarry Road, between Morris and Upper Mainland roads in Lower Salford, will be closed to traffic around the clock beginning Thursday (Oct. 1, 2020) so a township contractor can make repairs to the bridge over the west branch of Skippack Creek, according to reports on the Facebook pages of both the Harleysville Community Fire Company and Lower Salford police.

“The nature of the required repairs” and a “concern for safety” are prompting the full closure, the notices said. Detours will be posted, using Morris Road and Upper Mainland Road. Repairs could take between six and eight weeks, they also indicated.

The township added that it “thanks everyone in advance for their patience.”
