422 West Lane Closure Next Week for Limerick Paving, Seeding

LIMERICK PA – Westbound U.S. Route 422 drivers will encounter a single-lane closure Monday through Friday (Oct. 12-16, 2020) from 5 a.m. to 2 a.m. the following morning, and from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning for asphalt paving and median seeding along a five-mile section of the highway between its Royersford-Trappe and Sanatoga interchanges across Limerick and Lower Pottsgrove.

Additionally, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said lane restrictions with flagging will occur Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Upper Indian Head Road, between Cider Mill Road and Winding Ridge Road in Upper Providence.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas, because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather. Work on the project will comply with Centers for Disease Control and state Department of Health guidance, as well as a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan.

H&K Group Inc. of Skippack is the general contractor on the $19.1 million project due to be completed in Summer 2021.
