Hospital Staff Donates Foods to Preston’s Pantry
PRESTON’S PANTRY DONATION – Members of the Orthopedics & Spine, and 5th Floor unit practice councils at Pottstown Hospital recently donated more than 270 pounds of food to the Preston’s Pantry Project operated by Boyertown Area Multi-Service, the hospital reported Friday (Oct. 9, 2020). “Pottstown Hospital has received a significant amount of support during the pandemic and we wanted to give back to the community,” explained ortho nurse Julie Rexrode, MSN, RN-BC. Staff members collected non-perishable goods over a period of several weeks and presented their gift to the Boyertown area non-profit that provides services to individuals, families and seniors in Berks and Montgomery counties. The pantry is named for the late Preston Dray, who created a food drive for Multi-Service as a school project.
