PHOENIXVILLE PA – A section of the Schuylkill River Trail that runs through Phoenixville will be closed starting Oct. 19 (2020; Monday) due to construction, according to Chester County’s Parks and Preservation Facebook page.

The 5.7-mile section of the trail to be closed begins at the Cromby Trailhead, 367 Township Line Rd., Phoenixville, and continues to Linfield Road in Parkerford. Construction firm Allan Myers Inc. will be “milling the existing stone dust trail surface and placing a new asphalt trail surface,” the county explained.

The project is expected to take six weeks to complete. The trail section is anticipated to reopen in early December. For more information, snd an e-mail to parkspres@chesco.org.
