Hospital Plans Walks-and-Talks at Pottstown Park

POTTSTOWN PA – Two “walk-and-talk” events, offering both exercise and information on health-related topics, are scheduled for coming Saturdays (Oct. 17 and 24, 2020) from 10-11 a.m. at Riverfront Park, 140 College Dr. The free activities are limited to 25 participants each, and are sponsored by Pottstown Hospital.

It promotes the events as opportunities to “enjoy walking in the fall weather and get to know physicians outside of the hospital.” A free pedometer, and snack and water will be provided to each walker. Social distancing and masking are required.

The Oct. 17 talk is offered by Dr. Lori Lorant-Tobias, medical director of the hospital emergency department, who will discuss “Stroke and Emergency Department vs. Urgent Care.” The Oct. 24 talk is by Dr. Jean Seda-Lopez, medical director of hospitalist services, on “Diabetes and Hypertension.”

For information on either talk, and to register, call Tara Kerrigan at 610-327-7297 or send her an e-mail at PottstownCommunityHealth@towerhealth.org.
