Eagle Scout Improves Limerick’s Kurylo Trail
ACKNOWLEDGED FOR HIS EFFORTS, AND ACHIEVEMENT – Limerick’s Board of Supervisors, during its meeting last Tuesday (Oct. 20, 2020) officially recognized and commended Boy Scout Jared W. Katein (at top, center) for attaining the organization’s Eagle Scout rank. His achievement is due in part to the strength of a community service project on the township’s Kurylo Preserve trail, to which he and other scouts devoted significant time and resources. Katein planned, assembled, and installed three benches along the trail, accompanied by mulch beds and plantings. “Honoring young men who have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout never gets old. We are proud to have so many from Limerick who have attained this ranking, and hope to see it continue,” board Chairman Thomas J. Neafcy Jr. said during the ceremony. Other supervisors praised Katein’s “hard work and service to the community. (We) wish him the very best in his future endeavors,” they said.
