Spring-Ford Chamber Launches PPE Kit Distribution
LIMERICK PA – Free kits containing coronavirus-related personal protective equipment for small businesses located within the greater Spring-Ford area, with supplies for up to 50 employees each, will be distributed free Wednesday (Oct. 28, 2020) from 1-4 p.m. at Limerick Community Park, 180 Swamp Pike, by the Spring-Ford Chamber of Commerce, it announced on its website.
The kits are being offered at no charge as part of a partnership between Montgomery County, which is funding the effort, and the recently formed Alliance of Montgomery County Chambers of Commerce. The distribution is part of what both called “their shared commitment to support businesses during the COVID-19 global pandemic.”
The kits include fabric face masks, face shields, an infrared thermometer, 8-ounce bottles of hand sanitizer, antibacterial wipes, social distancing floor markers, mask signs, and information regarding safe business procedures from the county. Each kit should be sufficient to outfit 10 employees, and qualifying businesses can receive enough kits to equip their 50 or fewer employees.
Chambers are reporting to the county which businesses received kits, and in what quantities. Businesses that are members of several chambers within the county are asked to request kits from only one of those organizations. Chamber membership is not required to receive a kit, Spring-Ford added, but advance registration is necessary; register here.
Wednesday’s event is the first of four planned through Nov. 20 (Friday) The others include:
- Nov. 9 (Monday) from 10 a.m. to noon at Citadel Federal Credit Union, 36 W. Ridge Pike Ste. 101, Limerick;
