Senator Congratulates Collegeville Eagle Scout
MENSCH COMMENDS EAGLE SCOUT – 24th District state Sen. Bob Mensch caught up this month with Collegeville resident Evan Romano (right), a member of Boy Scout Troop 105 in Schwenksville, who recently was elevated to the rank of Eagle Scout. The highest honor a scout can earn was conferred upon Romano during September, and a Senate citation from Mensch played a role in Romano’s Eagle Court of Honor ceremony. The two hadn’t met, though, until both attended the Oct. 17 (2020) First Responders’ Parade in Pennsburg. That’s where Mensch offered his personal congratulations for Romano’s accomplishments. Romano has served as his troop’s bugler and patrol leader, and currently is an assistant senior patrol leader. His Eagle Scout project was completed at the Montgomery County 4H Center in Collegeville, where he redesigned its master gardeners’ shed. Last April, Romano also was inducted into the Order of the Arrow, scouting’s National Honor Society that recognizes those who best exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives.
