POSING AS THEIR FAVORITES – When student supplies were being distributed this week outside Pottstown’s Rupert Elementary School, Principal Matt Moyer arrived costumed as Batman (above at left) and found he wasn’t the only superhero at the scene. School staff members on hand to distribute materials to students, as well as families driving through to pick them up, came in character or dressed in fall colors at the school’s suggestion (above at right and below). In addition to the welcomed supplies, families had opportunities to retrieve art projects from the last school year, and library books from the school’s curbside pick up program. Teachers provided a few seasonal activities that could be done safely from inside a car, including a ring toss game (at top), a contest to “Guess the Number of Eyeballs in Mr. Moyer’s Eye Ball Collection,” and bags of treats supplied by the Friends of Rupert School.
