Salad Restaurant Chain Considers Royersford Site
WEST CONSHOHOCKEN PA – Saladworks, a fast-casual restaurant chain that specializes in create-your-own salad meals and currently operates 104 units in 20 states, hopes to open a new store at an unspecified location in Royersford, according to Franchising.com, a franchise news website. The move is part of the chain’s “focus back to its roots” in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, it said.
Founded in 1986 and headquartered in West Conshohocken, the company so far during 2020 opened new 28 stores including locations in California, Indiana, and North Carolina. It already has 36 restaurants within Pennsylvania, but said beyond a Royersford site it wants to expand into Trexlertown, Quakertown, Fort Washington, Media, and Springfield PA. Another seven are foreseen at New Jersey sites.
The firm has more than 20 new deals “in the pipeline for next year already,” Franchising.com stated.
It intends to fuel its planned growth with stores operated by investors and “is actively seeking qualified franchise partners, preferably individuals with business or franchise experience, and a passion for serving guests,” the article said.
Consumer demand is strong, Saladworks Vice President of Franchise Development Eric Lavinder reported, because the company “already has a significant presence in its home market and awareness of our concept is extremely high.” Diners have the option to choose from salad bowls or wraps with greens, grains or both, filled with an array of fresh vegetables, fruits, proteins and dressings that average less than 300 calories per serving.
