Upper Pottsgrove Investigates Vehicle Break-Ins

UPPER POTTSGROVE PA – Jewelry, sunglasses and other items were taken during “multiple vehicle break-ins and thefts” that occurred Sunday (Nov. 8, 2020) between 2:15 and 4 a.m. along the 100 blocks of both Green View and Stone Hill drives in Upper Pottsgrove’s Coddington View residential area, the township police department reported. Its investigations are continuing, and public help is sought.

A Green View Drive resident – relying on video from a home security camera system – said a male suspect was seen “attempting to break into their vehicle.” Police arrived on the scene following that report of suspicious activity.

The department has already identified tentative suspects, according to its Facebook page: “four unidentified male subjects, wearing pants and hooded sweatshirts or jackets.” They are believed to have entered and left the area “in an older, dark-colored Chevrolet Malibu,” it said.

Police believe other home cameras may also have caught the alleged perpetrators on video, even though their vehicles may not have been affected. The department is asking for public assistance. It wants to review any such footage for Sunday between from 2:14-4 a.m. for potential “activity, (the) vehicle, and suspects.” Those with information should call the department at 610-326-8446, and mention Incident No. 2020-05506.
