Drive-Thru Diabetes Fair Offers Information While Keeping Visitors Safe

POTTSTOWN PA – There’s a new twist on a popular local health program offered by Pottstown Medical Specialists Inc.

Its free Diabetes Health Fair, which annually provides information about diabetes, and is conducted in recognition of November as National Diabetes Month, has become a drive-through event scheduled for Saturday (Nov. 14, 2020) from 9 a.m. to noon outside PMSI’s 1601 Medical Dr. location.

The medical practice said it is observing the month by providing Saturday visitors with information and tips to prevent or delay Type 2 diabetes (the most common form) in many people. And it’s doing so while observing coronavirus safety guidelines.

Stay in your car, its staff said, and just drive-through the circular entrance and exit outside its administrative offices. Guests will receive plenty of helpful information on diabetes detection and management, along with healthy snacks, and chances to win some attractive door prizes.

No reservation is needed. The event is open to the public.
