Planning Commission Considers Brookside Minor Plan

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Review of a proposed minor subdivision and land development plan for a portion of Brookside Country Club property that lies in part within Lower Pottsgrove is scheduled on the township Planning Commission agenda during its meeting Monday (tonight, Nov. 16, 2020), to be held at 6:30 p.m. in Sunnybrook Ballroom, Sunnybrook Road.

The country club’s proposal calls for a lot line revision in an R-2 zoned residential district. It deals with two parcels of land, one of 2.35 acres in the township, and the other of 09.3 acres in the borough of Pottstown. Plans for the revisions have been prepared by the engineering firm of Barry Isett & Associates Inc. of Allentown PA.

The agenda indicates that township engineering firm Bursich Associates issued a letter Thursday (Nov. 12) regarding the proposal, to which the commission will likely refer.

Commission meetings usually are conducted in the Buchert Road township building, but tonight’s gathering has been re-located to comply with coronavirus pandemic restrictions. The meeting is free to attend and open to the public, but face masks are required and social distancing will be established for audience seating. A copy of the agenda is available for download from the township website, here.

The board’s next meeting is scheduled for Dec. 21 (Monday).
