Pottsgrove Directors Approve Year-End Chores
LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – As they do every year around the holidays Pottsgrove School District administrators have asked for, and received, permission from the district Board of School Directors to hire necessary personnel and move money within its budget to ensure year-end bills get paid.
Directors unanimously agreed to grant Superintendent Dr. William Shirk the authority “to appoint qualified personnel to vacant positions that could arise between Nov. 10 and the board’s Dec. 1 meeting, and between Dec. 2 and the board’s first meeting in January 2021.
The board also approved year-end 2019-2020 budget transfers to cover closing-out costs that totaled $642,050.
Board votes for both approvals occurred during its Nov. 10 meeting.
