Ciresi Adapts Veterans Luncheon to Pandemic Needs

VETERANS HAD LUNCH ON HIM – 146th Legislative District state Rep. Joe Ciresi handed out box lunches and recycled bags filled with information Monday afternoon (Dec. 7, 2020) as he welcomed U.S. Armed Services veterans who live within the district to a drive-through luncheon event behind his office at Park Towne Shopping Center on North Lewis Road in Royersford. Coronavirus restrictions kept Ciresi from having a sit-down dinner for the veterans, so members of his staff suggested what amounted to curbside pick-up. “It worked great!,” Ciresi declared in praising his people. Veterans who made advance reservations, as well as one or two who hadn’t, arrived at the office in what Ciresi described as “spurts.” He talked with each carload of visitors, thanked them for their service, and offered holiday best wishes.
