Pottstown’s PennDOT License Photo Center Moving
POTTSTOWN PA – The PennDOT photo license center in Pottstown, which for several years has operated at 978 E. High St., behind Commonwealth Auto Tags and adjacent to Jack Cassidy’s Pub, is moving further west into a downtown space at 377 E. High St., the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said Thursday (Dec. 10, 2020).
“The new location provides an upgrade for customers,” according to the agency, “with increased parking and better access to more efficiently serve the needs of customers.”
The center’s last day of operation at its current address will be Saturday (Dec. 12). Then it will be closed Monday (Dec. 14) as the move occurs, and it’s scheduled to re-open for photo services Tuesday (Dec. 15). The new site is at the corner of East High and North Franklin streets, adjacent to the Redner’s Quick Shoppe convenience store.
Hours of operation at the new location remain unchanged, PennDOT added: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.; and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The center offers photo services only, and customers in need of a photo must have a current camera card.
Other driver and vehicle services are available online here, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They include driver’s license, photo identification, and vehicle registration renewals; driver-history services; changes of address; driver license and vehicle registration restoration letters; ability to pay driver license or vehicle insurance restoration fees; driver license and photo ID duplicates; and driver exam scheduling.
There are no additional fees for using online services.
