Thirty-Nine Firefighters Graduate Despite Pandemic
GRADUATED AS FIREFIGHTERS – Thirty-nine men and women, from 24 volunteer and combination fire companies in Montgomery, Berks, Chester, and Delaware counties, completed more than 180 hours of intense training (at top) at the Montgomery County Fire Academy in Conshohocken and graduated Tuesday (Dec. 8, 2020) as the academy’s Class of 2020 in a virtual ceremony. Their training was temporarily interrupted by COVID-19 when it struck the state during March, and then finished under strict mitigation measures later during the year. All achieved national certification as Fire Fighter I designees.
