Virus Update, Audit on Pottsgrove Agenda Tuesday
LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – A discussion by the Pottsgrove Board of School Directors about the district’s audit report for the 2019-2020 academic year, and an update on education of Pottsgrove students in the pandemic environment, both are scheduled on the agenda for the school board’s meeting Tuesday (Jan. 12, 2020). The virtual session will start at 7:30 p.m.; the web address for the Zoom conferencing platform meeting has yet to be announced.
The meeting is free to attend and open to the public. Copies of the board agenda are available now online, here.
The coronavirus update will be led by Superintendent Dr. William Shirk, whose report will include information provided by both the state and Montgomery County, according to agenda notes. “A copy of the latest report will be attached late Tuesday afternoon” in anticipation of the board meeting,” it added.
The annual audit discussion, during several past years, has been memorable for its reports of cash surpluses generated by the district under guidance from its Business Administrator David Nester. Nothing has been disclosed about the status of this year’s report. It is Nester’s last year for the audit review; he is retiring from the district June 30.
The full board session will be preceded by a 6:30 p.m. meeting of its Operations and Facilities Committee.
