Pottsgrove Routine Personnel Items Affect 17

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Seventeen individuals were affected by Pottsgrove School District personnel actions approved Tuesday night (Jan. 12, 2021) by its Board of School Directors, during its first meeting of the month. The list includes:

  • Judy Acra, teacher at Ringing Rocks Elementary, who submitted a letter stating her intent to retire Jan. 8;
  • Four teachers, three at Pottsgrove High School and one at Ringing Rocks, who requested either family or medical leaves of absence or unpaid leaves and all of whom are expected to return to their positions after specified intervals;
  • Kelsey Neff, named as a long term substitute replacing Paula Taylor at Ringing Rocks;
  • Bethany Berry, named as a full-time special education teacher at Pottsgrove Middle School replacing Judy Acra;
  • Nicole Chu, custodian, who submitted a letter resigning her position effective Dec. 4 (2020);
  • Rebecca Baumgardner, support staff nurse at Ringing Rocks, who submitted a letter resigning her position effective Jan. 8;
  • Elyse Veni, named as the secretary to the business administrator succeeding Tara Mossman in the full-time, 12-month position;
  • Sharon Yergey, elementary grade coordinator for the 5th grade at Lower Pottsgrove Elementary School, who resigned from that special payment position Nov. 24 (2020);
  • Susan Michener, elementary team coordinator for special education at Lower Pottsgrove, who resigned from that special payment position Dec. 7 (2020);
  • Erika Hinkle, named elementary team coordinator for special education at Lower Pottsgrove, subject to stated district conditions during the coronavirus pandemic;
  • Joshua Noel, named as elementary grade coordinator for the 5th grade at Lower Pottsgrove, subject to the same stated conditions; and
  • Jessica Bedard, Matthew Pawlik, and Don Petrella, all of whom have been named as cooperating teachers advising student teacher placements. Bedard and Pawlik will work with Michael Reisch of Eastern University between Jan. 11 and April 23; Petrella will work with Angela Cianchetta of West Chester University from Jan. 4 to May 14.
