Beaumont Lane Brush Fire Quickly Extinguished
LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – A brush fire that Montgomery County emergency dispatchers said broke out Wednesday (Jan. 20, 2021) at 12:52 p.m. on Beaumont Lane, a private road, was located in a wooded area on the north side of its dead end. It was quickly extinguished (at top) by Ringing Hill and Sanatoga volunteer firefighters, who brought several pieces of apparatus (below).
The fire, which charred a small area, was being investigated at the scene. Its cause was not immediately determined. It did not seem to endanger people or nearby structures.
Fire police limited passing traffic in both directions to a single lane on a portion of Kepler Road, which Beaumont intersects and where fire trucks were initially staged. Firefighters began disassembling equipment (above) and packing up hoses by about 1:20 p.m.
Lower Pottsgrove police also responded.
