Pottsgrove Schools All Virtual in Thursday Weather

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Although snowfall overnight Wednesday (Feb. 10, 2021) and into Thursday morning (Feb. 11) was light, its watery content and below-freezing temperatures have made traveling difficult. So “due to hazardous road conditions,” the Pottsgrove School District announced at about 5:30 a.m., all its Thursday classes will be held in “live synchronous virtual learning” mode.

  • All in-person classes will remain virtual;
  • All bus and van transportation is canceled for Thursday;
  • School offices will open with a two-hour delay; and
  • The fate of all after-school events and athletic programs will be determined later during the day.

Additionally, Pottsgrove reminded its families that classes will be dismissed earlier than usual today for Act 80 activity; and that schools are closed to students Friday (Feb. 12) for staff development; and Monday (Feb. 15) for the federal President’s Day holiday.

School instruction will resume Tuesday (Feb. 16), as will the district food distribution program from 5-6:30 p.m. at Pottsgrove Middle School on North Hanover Street.
