Water Company Offering College Scholarship Money

MECHANICSBURG PA – Applications are now being accepted for a $1,000 college scholarship to be awarded by Pennsylvania American Water to local high school seniors interested in careers in the water and wastewater industry. The submission deadline is April 2.

The Mechanicsburg-based company supplies water to properties in all or portions of Spring City, Royersford and Phoenixville boroughs, and Limerick, Lower Pottsgrove, and Upper Providence townships.

Its scholarship program is designed to support outstanding students living in the company’s service territories. Ten scholarships are available to eligible students who are high school seniors, live in a household served by Pennsylvania American Water, plan to attend a two- or four-year college or technical school, and plan to study environmental science, biology, engineering or chemistry

Students can apply for the 2021 Stream of Learning Scholarship online at the company’s website, here. Applications can be completed online or downloaded from the website and submitted by mail. Winners will be selected by a panel of judges and will receive awards in May.
