All Tower Health Sites Now Use Same Record System
PHILADELPHIA PA – Epic, an electronic health records system – installed during 2019 in Pottstown, Phoenixville, and all Tower Health hospitals and physicians offices, and during 2020 in all its Urgent Care locations – on Saturday (Feb. 27, 2021) also became a fixture at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.
The facility is owned and operated as a partnership of Tower Health and Drexel University.
Its addition means all Tower Health hospitals and practices are using the same health records, collecting every patient’s health information from all Tower Health sites into one digital space, according to Don Mueller, St. Christopher’s chief executive officer.
To prepare for the implementation, the St. Christopher team completed hours of training in more than 550 classes.
With the launch of Epic, Tower Health also launched its MyTowerHealth app for St. Christopher’s patients. The secure, mobile online portal gives patients access to their health information from any Tower Health provider in real time, including medical history, appointments, medications, and lab test results.
